My work is a blend of fine art photography and photojournalism. I capture weddings as authentically as I can while ensuring my galleries have the timeless beauty of classic portraiture. My photos are distinctly modern, but with old-school elements that give a warm, familiar feel. 

I shoot with natural light (the sun) when I can, but love using both added flash and ambient light (like candles) to skillfully capture how your day looked and felt. I don’t like to keep folks waiting, so I keep my gear as compact and efficient as possible so I can be unobtrusive, take great photos, and keep the day running smoothly.

Your experience is just as important as the final gallery! My philosophy is that wedding photography should document your day without dictating it—capturing all the moments without taking away from them.

To get all the shots while maximizing your enjoyment, I’m heavy on prepping in advance. I gather all details from you so I can location scout, timeline plan, and create a gameplan document so beautiful that it’ll make your most Type A friend (& your wedding planner!) proud.

I'm based in Chicago and yes, I love to travel! I will go anywhere in the world you want me to. The first 30 miles of travel is included for every event/wedding, with travel up to 100 miles roundtrip charged at $1.50 per mile. All miles in excess are charged by a flat fee (pre-approved by you) to cover my travel and boarding.

Yes, I do! When you book a 2nd photographer, one of my talented associates will join me to help capture your day–giving you more angles, more moments, and more photos in your final gallery.

Yes, of course! I use plenty of poses and prompts to get you both focused on each other and having fun, which is how I get the best photos. You're welcome to share any pose ideas you have, but don't worry if you don't have any!
